What’s the difference between Industries and Financial Services?

Financial Services: your clients will be financial institutions: banking & capital markets, insurance, asset management, pension funds, etc.

Industries: You will not focus on a specific sector, you may work for clients active in the following sectors: Transport, logistics, manufacturing, oil & gas, pharma, retail, service providers, etc.

Can I apply for multiple positions within EY?

Is there a mentorship program for new hires?

Yes, everybody who starts at EY has a counselor who helps you with all your questions and guides you in your career ambitions.

How can I prepare for my application process?

  • Research: Familiarize yourself with EY, its values, its sectors and industries it operates in. Understand what services it offers and how it differentiates itself from other Big Four firms.
  • Understand the role: Carefully read the job description for the role you’re applying to. Check required qualifications and skills. It’s important to understand what the job involves and what EY is looking for.
  • Prepare for the interview: Anticipate potential questions regarding past group assessments, your thesis, technical knowledge, and why you’d be a good fit for the role and EY.
  • Network: If possible, connect with existing or former EY employees. They could provide valuable insights about the company culture and what the recruiters might be looking for.

What is the dress code for an Assessment day or interview?

The dress code at EY is business casual. The outfit should be neat, clean and professional-looking.

What can I expect from the online tests?

It’s a logical reasoning test and a business understanding test.

What can I expect from an interview?

You will be invited for 1 or 2 interviews. Depending on the service line, you will have this interview with a recruiter and 1 or 2 colleagues from the team your applying for. This interview can take place at one of our offices or online, to discuss with your recruiter what’s most convenient.

What can I expect from a phone screening?

This first contact is all about getting to know you better. We’ll be diving into what drives you, exploring your preferences and running a quick check on your language skills. This call takes around 15-30 minutes. Sometimes this can also be an online call.

What can I expect from an Assessment day?

The assessment day takes place at our head office in Diegem and lasts approximately 3 hours. This half day consists of a presentation about EY, an individual pitch, a group discussion and an individual writing case. The spoken language during the Assessment day is English.
